Introduction
This extension makes it possible to link a Syslog action to the iTop triggers.
Similarly how you can configure one or more iTop triggers that send data (by e-mail, webhook, …); you can now directly send data to a Syslog server.
It can use any placeholders that the trigger providers. Most triggers provide at least some user and contact information, and let you access info on the related iTop object as well.
On a typical syslog server (for instance using rsyslog on Ubuntu), you’d see this kind of entry:
