iTop as a Service

Looking to outsource the maintenance of your iTop installation (and perhaps PHP and your database server at the same time)?

Get in touch to discuss your ideal formula; whether you’d like a fully or partially outsourced solution! You can host iTop on your local infrastructure; on your own cloud or have me host it for you.

Training

Even though iTop is very user-friendly, it always helps if an outsider gives your users iTop training based on the needs and workflows within your organization.

The formula can be discussed: we can focus on specific modules, go for a workshop / Q&A, tweak your iTop environment to improve your workflows, …

A few examples:

  • Getting started with iTop.
    Get guided through the process of installing and configuring iTop.
  • Implementing a service desk.
    Based on the needs of your organization (e.g. mail/portal/…), I’ll guide you through some pitfalls in your workflow and help implement a robust service desk.
  • Mail to Ticket Automation / OAuth 2.0
    Microsoft (Office 365 / Exchange Online) and others now require you to authenticate with OAuth 2.0. It’s not so easy anymore to set up. I can assist you in setting up and/or troubleshooting.
  • Tweaking iTop.
    Setting up custom e-mail notifications etc.
  • Configuring a data collector.
    Get information from platforms such as Microsoft Azure directly in your iTop.

Development

I’m an experienced iTop developer. I’ve published some generic extensions; but I’ve also made tailored solutions.

Some examples:

  • New classes to keep track of anything (for a company who wanted an inventory of their forklift parts).
  • Integrate maps in iTop, so each object has GPS coordinates. Points, lines, polygons (zones).
  • Security (multi factor authentication).
  • Suggest FAQs to users while creating and to agents while handling tickets.
  • Ticket merge.
  • Specific mail flow rules (enhancing the Mail to Ticket Automation).
  • Custom front ends ( some examples ).
